GLORY TO GOD MINISTRIES

 

Glory To God Ministries was begun in 2003 with the purpose of serving the poor and needy. Jesus wants us to love others as he has loved us, and he was willing to sacrifice himself for us while we were yet sinners. “There is no greater love than this, to lay down one's life for a friend” (John 15:13).  We serve by providing assistance  for families in need or crisis and includes help with food, clothing, shelter, transportation, overdue bills, medical problems, addictions and mental illness, job loss, legal problems, etc., to get them through the critical period, with the goal of helping them be as self-sufficient as possible. The charity was incorporated in 2006 into an official tax-exempt non-for-profit corporation. While our short term, and daily goals include finding better and better ways to serve those in need, long term goals include being able to expand in the areas of education in life skills such as nutrition and money management, safe, affordable, decent housing for low income families, participation and appreciation of the arts for all ages such as music and dance, youth programs including martial arts and learning skilled trades, education and participation in good stewardship and utilization of nature/natural resources/recycling.

 

We also do overseas retreats and pilgrimages as well as mission work. We currently have a group of missionaries working full time in Mexico in some of its' neediest areas.

 

One of our great joys is doing music ministry. We have the privilege of traveling and playing events, recording songs, and writing original music. Helping bring people into the presence of the Father and Jesus through the Power of the Holy Spirit is essential to bringing faith alive. Another ministry effort is giving talks and writing books and pamphlets about matters of faith. We are in a war for the mind. Our Lady, Mary, the Mother of Jesus is a great and loving Mother of all of the Father's children. It is a great honor to participate in the creation of a Shrine in Pennsylvania near Scranton, as a place of prayer and pilgrimage to honor the Mother of God.
